Nowadays, our daily life is full of things that we need to take care of and when is time to decide what are we gonna have for dinner we are so tired that we end up eating something that is not so good and not so healthy.
Panic Supper is an innovative dinner concept that will take the stress away and your dinner will turn out into a delicious and tasty experience.
How do we know it? Well, because yesterday was one of those days when we didn’t have any idea what to eat for lunch. We didn’t want to cook much and didn’t want to eat out either, but we wanted something good.
An inspiring place…
We remembered this small and nice local located at Hornsberg strand in Kungsholmen. As you can see in the pictures, it is a very colorful place full of paper bags, an open kitchen and just a couple of tables.
We didn’t know what it was and since it was closed that day, we couldn’t go inside and ask what was it about. Was it a restaurant, a mini market, a coffee place? And what was it with all the hanging bags?
Anyway, getting back to today’s story… we were looking for restaurants in Stockholm and ended up at the Panic Supper website and decided to try it.
Minna Tran, the person behind Panic Supper
Minna is the daughter of two Vietnamese restaurant entrepreneurs who grew up between delicious flavours and authentic Vietnamese food.
“In Vietnam, the street is where the action is. Street kitchens are not just about eating – they’re a vital place for meeting up with family and friends and enjoying food together. Sharing is caring!” – Panic Supper
She realized that people would love to prepare this kind of food too but they simply didn’t have time or were so stressed to do it. So, she came up with the idea of helping others with the time-consuming stuff, so you just need to follow some quick and easy steps to have the dinner ready.
“The mission: to introduce genuine Vietnamese street food into people’s homes and hearts – in a simple, healthy and affordable way.” – Panic Supper
So, how it works…
The concept is very simple. Panic Supper prepares the boring stuff like marinating the meat and cooking the broth and you finish the preparation following some simple steps.
You choose something from the menu, pick up your order, follow the instructions and enjoy a healthy meal with friends and family.
The price depends on how many portions do you want to have. You can choose meals for 2 (229 ask), 4 (399 ask) or 6 persons (599 seek). Snacks and drinks from 15 sek to 99 sek.
Back at home…
When we opened the bag, it was full of nice packages, all of them marked with beautiful labels. There was also nutritional information, recipe instructions and place mats.
The total cooking time will depend on the main ingredient is, so for meat will take about 60 min while for the tofu will take only 20 min.
It was very easy to prepare. We put the meat in the oven, cooked the rice, cut the vegetables and after the meat was ready, we just put everything on the plates.
If you are unsure about something, they have videos with the instructions that you can watch in their website. Very useful! Watch the videos here.
We tried the Vietnamese Rice Bowl with Roasted Red Pork and it was DELICIOUS!!!! We didn’t think it would be that good! The mix of fresh herbs, marinated pork and the Don’t Panic Sauce was excellent. This is the final dish:
Panic Supper will be from now on one of our first options for a week night dinner or a weekend lunch. What do you think? Would you give it a try?
If you try Panic Supper, we’d love to hear from you!
